PPC Profit Overlay privacy policy
What the PPC Profit Overlay (Profit-First Lens) Chrome extension reads, what it keeps and what it sends. Short version: it reads the Amazon Ads console page you're looking at, keeps your settings on your device and sends nothing anywhere.
Last updated: 2 November 2026
Who makes it
The extension is made by Radu Bobirnac, the independent Amazon advertising consultant who runs profitfirstppc.com. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon. “I” and “me” on this page mean Radu Bobirnac.
What it reads
On Amazon Ads console pages you open (advertising.amazon.com), the extension reads the tables on the page in your browser: campaign, ad group, keyword, search term and placement names, ASINs and SKUs, and the numbers shown, such as spend, sales, clicks, purchases and bids. It uses them to show colored chips, a bid hint and a sidebar on that page.
It also runs on the practice console on this site, where it uses only made-up demo products.
What it keeps, on your device only
- Your products and settings. The ASINs, names, prices and break-even ACoS you enter, and settings such as the margin to keep. They are saved in Chrome’s storage for this extension, on your computer.
- Which product each ad group advertises. When you open an ad group’s Ads tab, the extension notes the campaign and ad group IDs and the ASINs advertised there, so other tabs use the right break-even. “Forget them” in the extension’s settings clears this list.
- Whether the sidebar is open. Kept for the current browser tab only.
The numbers it reads from console tables are used to draw the page and are not saved. Removing the extension deletes everything it kept.
What it sends
Nothing. The extension makes no network requests: no servers, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no code loaded from the internet. Its fonts are bundled inside it. If you click a link in the extension to a free tool on this site, the page opens in a new tab and this site’s privacy policy applies there.
What it changes
Nothing in your Amazon account. The extension never clicks, edits, saves or submits anything in the Amazon Ads console. It only adds its own chips, bid hint and sidebar to the page you see.
Permissions
- Storage, to keep your products and settings on your device.
- Access to advertising.amazon.com, to read the console tables and show the overlay.
- Access to profitfirstppc.com/lens/practice/, to run on the practice console.
Sharing and sale
I don’t receive any data from the extension, so there is none to sell, share or use for advertising. The use of information received by the extension follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
